I first began writing The Michelli Family Ties series in 2002. I was enjoying writing the story of this interesting family but my life was busy with my own family and other responsibilities. Writing a book wasn’t a priority for me.
Until a January morning in 2010 while making my bed and thinking about my “to do list” for the day, I heard very clearly in my spirit, “You will write the book this year. Or you will lose the story and the desire to write it.” I hadn’t forgotten about the characters and their story, but I didn’t think it was important to anyone but me to write it some day in the future if I ever had time.
I pulled out the story I had begun writing in 2002 that day and began to rework it and try my best to allow God to lead me as He desired. I realized it was important to Him, too. The manuscript became so large that I realized it would have to be a series to adequately tell each character’s story.

My husband and I have been married for thirty-five years, and we have three children.
